Summer Internship - Congressional Office
Job Title: Summer Intern
Experience: Familiarity with American political system and Congress, interest in current events and news, strong communication skills and work ethic
Organization: Congressional Office, Pennsylvania
Salary: Stipend available depending on hours worked and eligibility for academic credit
Location: Congressional district and Washington, . offices
Term: Spring (Jan-May), summer (Jun-Aug), and fall (Sept-Dec)

Responsibilities:
- Answering phones
- Running office errands in the Capitol Complex
- Conducting research for the Member and staff
- Attending hearings and briefings
- Drafting constituent letters on various issues
- Learning about the legislative process and other functions of a congressional office
Working Hours:
- Flexible to accommodate student's course schedule
- Generally 9:00 . to 6:00 . when the House is in session
- 9:00 . to 5:00 . when not in session
Requirements:
- Familiarity with American political system and Congress
- Interest in current events and news
- Strong communication skills and work ethic
- Enthusiastic "can do" attitude
- Pennsylvania ties preferred, but not required
