Overview

Tom Sibbitt Chevrolet-Cadillac, Inc. has a rich family history of serving the great people of Greensburg, Indiana.

In 1960 Tom Sibbitt, a 28 year old field rep for International Harvester with his cousin Hoyt Mann purchased the Bob Yaw Chevrolet Dealership in Greensburg located at 128 West Main Street. They were able to transform the dealership into one of the leading Chevrolet dealerships in southeastern Indiana.

Operating out of 5 small, disconnected lots around the dealership, Tom saw the necessity for expansion. In 1963 he purchased 5 acres of land at the North East edge of town on Highway 421. He constructed an 18,000 sq. ft, state-of-the-art facility in 1965. Purchasing Mr. Mann's share of the dealership in 1967, the dealership changed names from Sibbitt-Mann to Tom Sibbitt Chevrolet. In 1972 he purchased the Roy Montgomery Cadillac dealership and incorporated it with his Chevrolet line.
