Essex County Vocational Technical Schools

Overview

Essex County Vocational Technical Schools is New Jersey’s oldest and one of its largest vocational school systems. It is a regional public school system that provides both academic and occupational instruction for high school and adult students in the Essex County region. The district meets the diverse needs of a wide range of students including special education students, students with limited English proficiency, regular education students, and gifted and talented students. The district offers exemplary Special Services programs in two of its four schools through programs for English Language Learners (ELL), Resource Rooms, Inclusion and Special needs classes. Over 70% of student graduates immediately pursue post-secondary education in college or technical school.
