4 Star Rating
Proskauer Rose LLP follows the set of hiring criteria outlined below.
At Proskauer Rose, qualities such as academic success and intelligence, commitment, maturity, judgment, creativity, diligence, leadership, undergraduate performance and non-academic accomplishments are taken into account before finalizing any candidate for the role of associate as the firm. It recruits through job fairs and campus recruitments. In 2011, Proskauer visited 19 law schools in the U.S. and attended four job fairs.
Proskauer Rose encourages all attorneys to bill a minimum of 50 pro bono hours annually, and every first-year associate is assigned his or her own pro bono matter when starting at the firm. In 2010, 76% of associates each performed 62 hours of pro bono work. The firm believes that introducing associates to pro bono work early in their careers helps instill in them a commitment to integrating this work into their professional lives. The firm caters to community groups, refugees seeking asylum, domestic violence victims, artists and musicians among many others. The firm's lawyers have played a crucial role in shaping important issues such as gun control, voting rights, prisoner rights and legal ethics.
