Advice to law firm management: The higher up's really need to loosen up and create a warmer environment. I feel like everyone is way too task oriented at this firm and if people talked among each other in a more candid fashion than there would be less tension between the higher up's and the other workers.

Pros: Everyone is very work oriented and there tends to be high standards at this firm, which has led to great client satisfaction in the past.

Cons: This firm tends to err on the side of being a little bit too serious most of the time. Not to mention, I really dislike the fact that they always put the client over the worker at this office. It led to me catching a lot of heat from a higher up in the past due to a mistake that was my client's fault and not mine.

Hirschel Savitz Parker Hollman, P.C. (“HSPH”) was established in 1990. Since then, HSPH has evolved from primarily representing retail tenants to representing regional and national developers and management companies. Of the more than 20,000 lease documents that HSPH has handled, at least 90% were for either developers of traditional shopping centers or developers of mixed-use projects. HSPH is recognized locally and nationally as a leading real estate law firm and provides a unique approach to real estate and commercial lease transactions HSPH recognizes that time kills deals and that there is a delicate balance between the speed with which a deal is closed and the strength of a lease. Because several HSPH lawyers, including HSPH’s founder, have served as in-house counsel for developers and retailers and have reviewed outside counsel’s legal fees in such capacities, we are extremely sensitive to the reasonableness of our fees. Our relationships with clients form the foundation of our practice. The HSPH lawyers offer vast and varied experience in commercial real estate, having prior experience ranging from landlord-tenant litigation to acting as in-house counsel for national real estate developers and retailers. HSPH uses an integrated team approach in its representation of clients, concentrating on a careful analysis of benefits and risks, reasoned recommendations, and peer review of final documents to ensure internal consistency and preservation of clients’ positions. Contrary to a more pervasive yet impersonal large model, HSPH is able to provide each client with the requisite personalized care to ensure attention to detail and that sound advice is provided in a timely, cost effective manner. Applying this approach, HSPH working in tandem with its clients, has been able to complete thousands of commercial real estate transactions during the past 25 years. Most importantly, almost all of our clients have been recommended by other satisfied real estate clients or referred because of successful experiences in negotiations with other attorneys. As the trends and demands of the commercial real estate market have evolved, HSPH has continued to expand its representation of developers in ground-up developments and renovations of traditional shopping centers. Many of these projects have complex underlying legal structures, including condominium regimes, ground leases, subdivided assessments and taxation lots, and various combinations of the foregoing, which benefit from a multi-disciplined, team approach. We encourage developers and each of the lawyers involved in each particular project to meet for an “upload” on each development, so items such as environmental conditions, title, entitlements, signage, expenses, construction, timing and phasing, are reviewed so that we can provide our experience in documenting the unique nuances of a project while ensuring future development and operational flexibility in the lease. The HSPH lawyers utilize their broad range of real estate experience from deal conception through the life of an agreement.
