Job Responsibilities:

- Primary legal coverage responsibility for North America Credit Trading’s Credit Solutions business.
- General legal coverage for North America Credit Trading business.
- Provide legal advice on structuring alternative credit solutions, receivable puts, financing structures, and bankruptcy claims trades.
- Advise distressed trading business throughout the restructuring life cycle.
- Draft for transfers of debt and equity, and review plan and restructuring support agreements.
- Advise Credit Trading business on relevant regulatory matters.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documentation.
- Advise on regulatory, bankruptcy, and risk matters.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

- Six to eight years of finance and/or bankruptcy experience at a law firm or financial institution.
- Knowledge of credit markets and/or trading businesses and documentation.
- Excellent business sense and communication skills.
- Ability to partner with front office and other functions to find legal solutions to business goals.
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively, and multitask under pressure.
- Proven ability to draft quickly, precisely, and comprehensively.
- Desire to stretch into new or unfamiliar products or asset classes in support of the business.
- Ability to leverage and navigate internal and external resources.
- JD or educational equivalent required.
- Must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the country of employment.
- Successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
