The National Tax Services Exempt Organizations Senior Associate position is a full-time role that requires up to 20% travel. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for exempt organizations. A Juris Doctorate degree is preferred, along with CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Bar membership.

This position is part of the United States National Tax Practice and will involve working with a team to provide tax services to a variety of tax-exempt organizations, including colleges and universities, healthcare entities, foundations, and cultural and religious organizations. The main responsibilities of this role include assisting charities in obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status, advising on tax strategies and planning opportunities, and ensuring compliance with tax requirements.

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of exempt organization tax issues, as well as experience with tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations. They should also be proficient in programming and conducting statistical analyses using software such as SAS. Additionally, the candidate should have strong technical skills in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations, with experience working with various tax forms.

This role also requires a strong ability to research and analyze business and industry trends to develop strategic insights for client proposals. The ideal candidate will also have experience with automation and digitization in a professional services environment, and be able to work with large, complex data sets and data visualization tools.

As a Senior Associate, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate leadership qualities and uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. They should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members. The candidate should also be able to delegate tasks and provide coaching to team members to help them achieve their full potential.
