The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) Child Support Division is seeking an Assistant Attorney General (AAG) to join our team. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $6, - $7, per month. The AAG will represent the State of Texas in judicial and administrative family law proceedings, providing legal advice and consultation to the Child Support Program and staff. The AAG will also have the opportunity to develop skills in negotiating court orders and become a subject-matter expert in family law practice areas.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Represent the State of Texas in judicial and administrative family law proceedings
- Provide legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program and staff
- Develop skills in negotiating court orders and becoming a subject-matter expert in family law practice areas
- Collaborate with other state agencies and community organizations to serve the needs of Texas families

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (.) degree
- Licensed as an attorney by the State of Texas
- Member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- Knowledge of Family Law and the Texas Family Code
- Strong legal writing, mediation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to travel up to 40% and lift and relocate 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in handling Family Law cases
- Jury trial experience
- Experience in handling a high-volume legal practice
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish
