Job Summary:
KPMG, a leading global professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Executive Director for their Office of General Counsel (OGC). The successful candidate will join the Litigation group, specifically on the Practice Protection Team, providing legal support and counsel for civil litigations, regulatory investigations, and other legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eighteen years of experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department, with a strong background in defending complex civil litigations and regulatory investigations.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on actual and threatened civil litigation, third-party subpoenas, and regulatory investigations
- Represent KPMG and its professionals in civil litigation proceedings and regulatory investigations
- Develop and implement strategies to defend litigation claims and regulatory investigations
- Supervise and collaborate with outside counsel and other members of OGC
- Report to and consult with the Vice Chair for Legal, Regulatory & Compliance/General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation
- Assist in developing financial projections for supervised matters

Qualifications:
- Minimum of eighteen years of experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department
- JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the .
- Experience in defending complex civil litigations and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms, professional organizations, or financial institutions is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple litigations and projects simultaneously, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
