Make a difference in the lives of children by advocating for their safety, well-being, and permanency as an Attorney with Children's Legal Services in Daytona Beach, FL. With a team of over 300 attorneys, CLS is a leader in the courtroom at each stage of a Chapter 39 proceeding. As a CLS attorney, you will have primary responsibility for multiple cases and collaborate with investigators and case managers to gather evidence and prepare for trial. You will also have the opportunity to participate in special projects that create strategies for better outcomes for children.

Responsibilities:

- Advocate for the safety, well-being, and permanency of Florida's abused, abandoned, and neglected children
- Ensure legal requirements are met to secure permanent and safe homes for dependent children
- Collaborate with investigators and case managers to gather evidence
- Prepare partners to serve as witnesses at trial
- Use best practice litigation techniques in pleadings and trial presentations
- Fulfill all CLE requirements

Qualifications:

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with a team
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

Compensation:

- Annual base salary of $55,000
- Total compensation inclusive of benefits valued at a minimum of $77,947
- Actual total compensation will vary based on insurance and retirement elections
