Job Title: Litigation Attorney - Associate/Of Counsel/Member

Job Type: Full-time, with occasional travel and/or virtual attendance at depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials

Experience: Minimum of 4-6+ years in the practice of law, with specific experience in asbestos/toxic tort defense, land use matters, and transportation/trucking defense litigation

Responsibilities:

- Drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents
- Advising clients on legal rights and developing defense strategies
- Gathering evidence and conducting research
- Representing clients in court and before government agencies
- Interpreting laws and regulations
- Communicating with experts and preparing them for depositions and trials
- Responding to discovery requests and defending clients during depositions
- Additional responsibilities may be required

Qualifications:

- Law degree and license to practice in Washington state (additional licenses in Oregon and/or Alaska are a plus)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to bill at least 1800 hours annually
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Working Conditions:

- Partially remote work possible, but requires at least 3 days in the office per week
- Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise and other factors
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, operate office machinery, and work under deadlines
- Flexible schedule with 40+ hours per week, occasional travel required

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in one or more of our civil litigation practice areas, including Asbestos/Toxic Tort Defense, Land Use, and Transportation/Trucking Defense.

As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents, advising clients on their legal rights, and developing strategies for defending and litigating cases. You will also gather evidence, conduct research, and represent clients in court and before government agencies. Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and convey complex information are essential for this role.

This position requires a minimum of 4-6+ years of experience in the practice of law, with a law degree and a license to practice in Washington state. Additional licenses in Oregon and/or Alaska are a plus. The ability to bill at least 1800 hours annually and strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills are also necessary for this role.

Working at our firm may involve occasional travel and/or virtual attendance at depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials. Our office environment is typically quiet and professional, with minimal exposure to noise and other factors.
