- Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in trial advocacy, case management, and technology usage
- Keep updated on changes in law, technology, and industry trends
- Maintain expertise in NTD concentrations and willingness to learn new ones
- Provide accurate and timely case valuations and communicate with clients and claims partners
- Build and maintain professional relationships within NTD, Office of the Chief Legal Officer, and legal and insurance industries
- Communicate effectively with clients, claims partners, and internal NTD team
- Mentor junior attorneys and provide guidance and training
- Education:
- License/Certification/Designation: Active license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Typical Skills and Experiences:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative and capable of working with staff and other attorneys
- Effective negotiation skills
- Efficient information processing and excellent analytical and legal skills
- Resourceful and creative problem solver
- Computer savvy with a solid understanding of basic software
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate complex projects and cases
- Leadership skills for motivating, problem solving, and business development
- Familiarity with ethical rules and corporate and NTD policies and procedures
- Job Conditions:
- Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt)
- Working Conditions: Generally a normal office environment, with potential for remote work and frequent travel
