A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Global Projects Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience in major projects and transactions, preferably in the energy and infrastructure space. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy transition practices such as renewables, hydrogen (H2), carbon capture and storage (CCS), LNG, or electric power sectors. They should have been a key team member on major transactions and project development matters and possess strong drafting skills, contract analysis capabilities, and an interest in the energy industry and clients' businesses.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with partners and clients on major projects and transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Provide legal advice and support on energy transition practices, including renewables, hydrogen (H2), carbon capture and storage (CCS), LNG, or electric power sectors.
  • Serve as a key member of a team on major transactions and project development matters.
  • Manage and supervise junior associates, working closely with partners.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to project finance, development, and implementation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory and compliance issues in the energy industry.
  • Analyze and synthesize new information related to energy projects and transactions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience working on major projects and transactions, preferably in the energy and infrastructure space.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction of Washington, DC.
  • Experience in energy transition practices, including renewables, hydrogen (H2), carbon capture and storage (CCS), LNG, or electric power sectors preferred.
  • Strong drafting skills and contract analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to manage a team and work closely with partners.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in the energy industry and understanding of clients' businesses.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction of Washington DC.
