- Two vacancies for Magistrate Judges in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia are currently open.
- The successful applicants will serve four-year terms and be assigned to either the Family Court or other Divisions based on the needs of the court.
- The position requires conducting hearings, making findings and entering orders or judgments in uncontested or contested proceedings within the jurisdiction of the Family Court or Domestic Violence Unit.
- The current salary for this position is $199,654 per annum.
- Applicants must be a . citizen, an active member of the District of Columbia Bar, and have at least 5 years of active law practice in the District of Columbia.
- For Family Court applicants, at least 3 years of training or experience in family law is required.
- Applicants must also be a resident of the District of Columbia or surrounding areas for a certain period before and during their service as a Magistrate Judge.
