Type: Full-time, hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week in-person collaboration required.

Position Summary:

Deloitte is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for their Real Estate Services Tax practice. This role requires a strategic and experienced federal tax professional with a solid understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules. The Tax Senior Manager will provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the Real Estate industry sector, working with a team and utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

Job Responsibilities:

- Assisting clients with partnership life events, basis computations, and Schedule K-1 processing.
- Utilizing proprietary technology to streamline tax compliance processes.
- Maintaining and developing client relationships.
- Advising clients on various tax issues, including REIT Qualification and Tax Reform impact.
- Overseeing complex federal tax projects using state-of-the-art technology and data analytics.
- Managing engagement workflow, team resources, and billing.
- Mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of total corporate or international tax experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Preferred: Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM, previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience, experience with US clients and basic understanding of US tax, solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills, demonstrated effective communication and research skills, and management experience.
