H2: Provide Legal Support for Legacy Liabilities and Business Issues

The GE Corporate Holdings group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Counsel to provide legal support for legacy liabilities and business issues. This key member of the legal team will work closely with business leaders across the organization and will be responsible for providing ongoing legal advice and support for GE Aerospace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and support for legacy legal and business issues, including transactional work and regulatory support
- Oversee and support the Polish Bank legal team for non-litigation matters
- Evaluate and advise on legal risk in actions, transactions, and agreements
- Collaborate with external law firms and vendors and manage legal budgets
- Develop strategies for successful resolution of legacy portfolio
- Draft and review legal agreements and documents
- Advise on dispositions, de-risking transactions, and dispute resolution
- Determine responsibility for cross-business and orphaned liabilities and work with legal teams at other GE businesses
- Assist in preparation of status reports for various stakeholders
- Provide advice on legal entity governance and work with records and information management team

Qualifications:

- JD or law degree from an accredited university
- 12+ years of legal practice
- Member in good standing with the State Bar
- Ability to travel up to 10% of time domestic or international

Desired Characteristics:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing legacy matters and legal entity governance
- Prior in-house or Corporate experience preferred
