Summary:

The Johnson & Johnson Global Legal Organization is seeking a Senior Counsel, . Commercial Programs to provide legal support to various businesses within Johnson & Johnson MedTech. This position is located in Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; Cincinnati, OH; or Santa Clara, CA and may require some limited domestic travel. The base pay range for this position is $142,000-$244,950. The Senior Counsel will be responsible for counseling on the development and implementation of innovative commercial strategies, advising senior leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing legal counsel and support related to fraud and abuse laws. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with relevant experience in the life sciences or medical technology industry. Admission to and current good standing with the bar of at least one state or the District of Columbia is required. The Senior Counsel must also have strong transactional skills, be comfortable navigating ambiguity, and have excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities:

Counsel on development and implementation of commercial strategies for Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s products
Advise senior leadership and counsel all levels of the organization on commercial transactions and interactions with healthcare providers
Collaborate with various departments within the organization
Provide legal counsel and support related to fraud and abuse laws
Develop and deliver training on health care compliance topics
Engage in key policy and regulatory issues impacting customer relationships and business strategies
Provide efficient and coordinated legal support
Contribute to cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues in the Global Legal Organization

Qualifications:

Admission to and current good standing with the bar of at least one state or the District of Columbia
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with relevant experience in the life sciences or medical technology industry
Strong transactional skills with experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and simplifying complicated issues
Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Highly collaborative in a fast-paced, team-based, matrix environment

Education:

Admission to and current good standing with the bar of at least one state or the District of Columbia

Experience and Skills:

Required:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with relevant experience advising on health care matters in the life sciences or medical technology industry, either in-house or at a law firm.
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior leaders to proactively shape and advance key business strategies and priorities.
Strong transactional skills with experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, related to product sales, distribution, technology and capital equipment.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and simplifying complicated issues.
Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically to develop creative, practical and compliant solutions.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Highly collaborative in a fast-paced, team-based, matrix environment.

Preferred:

Experience advising on health care compliance obligations, including the . health care fraud and abuse laws is a plus.
Experience with transactions related to information technology, cybersecurity, robotics, artificial intelligence, software, cloud, or privacy is a plus.

Salary Information:

The base pay range for this position is $142,000-$244,950. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
