Job Summary:
The Tax Manager is responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, and identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations. They will also act as the primary client contact for complex corporate tax and ASC 740 tax issues.

Job Duties:
- Ensure tax compliance for clients while minimizing tax and reporting burdens
- Conduct top level review of tax returns and resolve any issues with clients
- Communicate with Assurance team about tax accrual reviews
- Manage client relationships and provide timely advice
- Conduct research and provide analysis for complex tax issues
- Apply ASC 740-10 (fka FAS 109 and FIN 48) correctly and proactively
- Assist with tax consulting and developing efficient methods to maximize client benefits
- Develop an in-depth understanding of one or more areas of taxation
- Introduce new ideas to improve client's position and Firm's performance
- Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train Associates and Senior Associates
- Review work prepared by Associates and Senior Associates
- Act as a Career Advisor and provide performance feedback
- Schedule and manage workload of team members

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation, Master's degree preferred
- Five or more years of prior experience
- Experience in managing ASC740 computations for both privately held and publicly traded clients
- Supervisory experience
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) required

Software:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA
- Proficient in all tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, GoSystemRS, Caseware, BNA Depreciation Software, or comparable programs and standard tax workpapers preferred

Salary Information:
- California Range: $102,300 - $150,000
- Colorado Range: $115,000 - $135,000
- New York City/ Valhalla Range: $110,000 - $150,000
- Washington Range: $86,000 - $115,000
*Individual salaries offered will vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
