We are currently seeking a part-time TDI Attorney IV to join our team and assist with employment law issues. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for public service and a desire to make a difference in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide legal advice and opinions on employment law and ethics matters.

· Represent the agency in employment law matters, negotiations, mediation, and litigation.

· Participate in assigned projects, including policy development, legislative changes, and similar projects.

· Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including opinions, briefs, and memoranda.

· Analyze agency compliance with employment and ethics laws and regulations.

· Advise agency staff on federal and state employment laws and regulations.

· Review and draft legal documents and regulations related to employment law.

· Represent the agency in employment law matters, negotiations, and mediations.

· Assist the Office of the Attorney General in preparing litigation cases.

Qualifications:

· Juris Doctor (.) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited law school.

· Licensure as an attorney to practice law in Texas.

· Four years of experience with state and federal employment laws.

· Member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

· Excellent legal research and writing skills.

· Ability to interpret and apply state and federal laws to legal problems.

· Detail-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.

· Familiarity with state and federal legislation related to employment law.

· Knowledge of ethics laws and regulations.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
