We are currently seeking an experienced Associate to join our Employment Tax team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your tax knowledge, work on a variety of projects, and build relationships with clients.

Job Summary:

As an STS GES Experienced Associate, you will be responsible for conducting tax research, preparing tax returns, and developing reports and analyses for clients. You will also have the opportunity to learn and develop your employment tax knowledge, identify potential risks and changes in tax policy, and assist with routine questions from federal and state agencies. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients as needed.

Job Duties:

Conduct tax research and provide detailed reports of findings
Ensure clients comply with applicable tax authorities and identify opportunities for minimizing tax and reporting burdens
Assist with obtaining client information and organizing work product for review
Review assessment notices and handle routine questions from agencies
Utilize tax research databases and other tools
Develop an in-depth understanding of federal, state, and local employment taxes
Assist with research and implementation of tax strategies
Build client relationships
