The successful candidate will have substantial direct experience with the New York City regulatory framework and possess strong communication skills, both oral and written. This position is a Non-Competitive career level experienced (non-manager). The proposed salary range for this position is $71, - $107, (Annual).

Job Responsibilities:
• Draft and review legislation
• Draft agency rules
• Provide counsel to the agency on policy matters
• Conduct legal research
• Prepare legal memoranda
• Coordinate with various external agencies
• Handle a high volume of matters
• Function under tight time constraints

Minimum Qualifications:
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• One year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar
• Six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne (30086)
• Incumbents must remain Members of the New York State Bar in good standing for the duration of this employment

Preferred Skills:
• At least five years of legal experience, concentrating on regulatory and administrative law.
