Assistant District Attorney The candidate will conduct long-term investigations into all manner of frauds, including frauds that target immigrant communities (through the Immigrant Affairs Unit), criminal conduct related to landlord/tenant issues, investment scams, embezzlements, housing and real estate scams, bank fraud conspiracies, check theft and forgery rings, illegal practice of licensed professions, and tax crimes. Investigate and prosecute financial exploitation of the elderly through the Elder Abuse. Use the full complement of investigative methods, including use of confidential informants and cooperating witnesses. Manage and oversee teams of Investigators, Paralegals, Investigative Analysts, Financial Analysts, and outside investigative partners. Draft search warrants, including electronic warrants such as email, social media, and cell site warrants, pen registers, and court-ordered eavesdropping (wiretaps). Conduct complex trials and grand jury presentations involving large volumes of documentary, testimonial and other types of evidence. Pursue alternative resolutions to matters where appropriate. Must have 4+ years of experience. Should have experience conducting analysis of financial records, phone records, and other types of records. Experience writing search warrants, motion responses, and similar legal processes is essential. Substantial trial experience is preferred. Must be admitted to the NYS Bar.
