Corporate Attorney - Legal Support and Advice for Business Stakeholders

The Onit team is seeking a Corporate Attorney to provide legal support and advice on various topics such as commercial transactions, intellectual property, privacy, and risk management. This role reports to the General Counsel and is based in either Austin or Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:

- Manage a team and work with business clients, customers, and suppliers to draft, review, and negotiate various commercial and technology transactions.
- Collaborate with different departments within the organization.
- Provide legal and compliance support to executives and business leaders.
- Oversee the Company's intellectual property portfolio.
- Work with the Information Security Team on cybersecurity and data privacy issues.
- Identify and address legal issues in areas such as corporate, intellectual property, antitrust, privacy, and trade compliance.
- Manage customer disputes and litigation, as well as handle bankruptcy and collection matters.
- Handle special projects as directed by the General Counsel.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Admitted to practice law in the United States.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and commercial transactions and regulatory compliance.
- Strong experience with SaaS transactions and understanding of data privacy and security issues.
- Ability to work well in a team and with clients in fast-paced transactions.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects under deadline pressure.
- Experience working with a geographically diverse team.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously or in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel and work non-standard business hours if necessary.
