This role will involve supporting the product teams working on cross-Meta services and technologies for youth users. The ideal candidate must have strong collaboration skills and the ability to make decisions across multiple teams within the legal department, as well as other departments such as product, engineering, marketing, policy, and communications. Responsibilities: - Develop legal strategies for youth-related issues across product, litigation, regulatory, privacy, safety, compliance, and integrity. - Provide legal advice to youth well-being product and engineering teams, with a focus on risk mitigation. - Offer holistic legal advice on various topics including data protection/privacy, content regulation, competition, consumer protection, data security, and other global legal frameworks. - Lead high-profile and impactful projects, working closely with cross-functional teams across Meta's business, policy, privacy, communications, security, and other areas. - Coordinate with public policy, communications, product management, product marketing, trust and safety, and other cross-functional teams on external communications, policy development, product development, and product launches. - Stay up-to-date on youth laws and regulations. Minimum Qualifications: - . degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one . state bar. - 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm and/or in-house. - Experience in one of the following or related legal areas: Litigation, Product or regulatory counseling, consumer protection, and/or privacy. - Proven experience in managing projects involving different subject matters and working with cross-functional teams. - Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, providing practical advice under pressure and dealing with ambiguity. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in managing legal risk in multiple jurisdictions, including global youth privacy/content laws and regulations, litigation, and compliance matters. - Previous experience supporting a global team at a social media, digital advertising, or other technology company. - Collaboration experience at all levels of the business, including executive and C-suite.
