A law firm based in Boston is seeking a highly motivated Charter School / Education Law Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess several years of relevant work experience, a strong academic background, excellent writing skills, and a passion for making a difference in the education sector. The role requires responsiveness to client demands, efficiency, and practicality in addressing legal issues. Massachusetts Bar membership or the ability to waive in is required.

Duties:

• Providing legal counsel and representation to charter schools and educational institutions
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and agreements related to charter school operations
• Advising clients on compliance with state and federal education laws and regulations
• Handling matters related to special education, student discipline, and civil rights in education
• Representing clients in administrative proceedings, hearings, and appeals
• Conducting legal research and analysis on education law issues
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop strategies and solutions for legal matters

Requirements:

• Membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar Association or eligibility to waive in
• Several years of relevant work experience in education law or related field
• Strong academic background with a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
• Superior work ethic with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services
• Ability to respond to client demands efficiently and effectively
• Passion for advocating on behalf of educational institutions and students
