Los Angeles, CA, United States BDO, a leading global accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a Tax Senior, State and Local Tax - Unclaimed Property to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This unique role offers the opportunity to use tax and accounting skills in a consultative capacity, with a focus on unclaimed property compliance and consulting. The chosen candidate will work with leadership to recommend alternate courses of action and identify different methods of complying with unclaimed property statutes and regulations. They will also work with Core Tax and Audit Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers to provide SALT expertise to clients. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance, and at least two years of prior experience in tax, financial statement auditing, or forensic accounting. CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) certification is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, is required, and experience with Power BI, Alteryx, and other software is preferred. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits, with a range of $70,000 - $125,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
