A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Employment and Labor Associate Attorney to join their team in the Washington, . office. The Mid-Level Employment and Labor Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in handling a diverse range of employment and labor matters, including OFCCP compliance and audit defense, pay equity studies and litigation, employment claims, and corporate transaction-related issues. The ideal candidate should have outstanding research, writing, and analytical skills, along with the ability to exercise sound legal and business knowledge. Strong case management skills, excellent communication abilities, a strong work ethic, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

 

Duties:

  • Handle OFCCP compliance and audit defense.
  • Conducted pay equity studies and defended pay equity litigation and government enforcement actions.
  • Litigate employment claims with a preference for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, employee mobility/trade secret, and executive disputes.
  • Draft standard employment agreements offer letters, executive employment agreements, separation agreements, non-competes, non-solicits, nondisclosure, and IP assignment documents.
  • Advise on day-to-day employment law compliance and HR issues.
  • Handle workplace investigations of employment complaints.
  • Manage the employment dimensions of various corporate transactions.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in employment and labor law.
  • Bar admission in Washington, ., is preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
