A law firm in Greenville, SC is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to preside over real estate settlements in South Carolina and North Carolina. The candidate will work primarily out of the Greenville office and travel approximately 75% of the time to closings in both states. Additionally, the Attorney will supervise paralegals, certify titles, preside over closings, and handle general practice duties as assigned by the managing attorney.

 

Duties:

  • Preside over real estate settlements in South Carolina and North Carolina.
  • Work with firm paralegals during the pre-closing process to ensure timely closings.
  • Supervise paralegals to certify titles, preside over closings, record documents, and disburse funds.
  • Train on real estate closings, including manufactured home/modular home real estate closings.
  • Travel approximately 75% of the time to closings in SC and NC.
  • Handle additional general practice duties as assigned by the managing attorney.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed in both South Carolina and North Carolina.
  • Background in real estate law.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with paralegals and manage closings efficiently.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in both South Carolina and North Carolina.
