Overview:

Grant Thornton, one of the leading accounting and advisory firms in the world, is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join their Corporate Tax Solutions Family. In this role, you will work on a variety of tax projects including business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting. You will also have the opportunity to work with a team of specialists and collaborate with the Washington National Tax Office to support all areas of the client's tax functions.

Responsibilities:

- Manage client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects within budget
- Supervise and mentor senior associates, associates, and interns on tax projects and assess their performance for engagement reviews
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to sell services to existing and potential clients
- Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations for accuracy and tax savings opportunities
- Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements
- Research and consult on various tax matters using tax-related software
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Maintain a good working relationship with clients and effectively work with client management and staff at all levels
- Gain an understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives
- Attend professional development and training sessions
- Adhere to professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA or JD/active law license required
- Minimum four to seven years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience
- Experience in public accounting preferred
- Experience in corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills
- Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills
- Strong working knowledge of broad-based statutory income tax compliance and consulting
- Exceptional client service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision preferred
- Strong teamwork, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to travel as needed
