The position of National Tax - Federal Tax Advisory Manager at EY is an exciting opportunity for experienced tax professionals looking to advance their careers. Key Responsibilities: - Facilitate delivery of effective tax solutions for clients - Identify new business opportunities and apply critical thinking to develop strategies - Assist in executing client engagements and providing timely and high-quality tax research and analysis - Manage projects to ensure timely delivery of client deliverables - Develop client relationships and industry knowledge - Guide and mentor associates, providing performance feedback and supporting their development - Stay current on industry trends and developments, applying them to client scenarios - Utilize tools and technologies such as SharePoint, MS Power BI, MS Power Pivot, MS Power Query, and Alteryx Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management information systems, or related field, with 6 years of related work experience OR a graduate degree in tax, law, or management information systems, with 5 years of related work experience - Valid US Enrolled Agent, CPA, or licensed attorney designation - Experience with preparing tax research and analysis, as well as analyzing large datasets - Knowledge and understanding of complex tax concepts and their application to specific client scenarios - Strong managerial, organizational, project management, and communication skills - Ability to work well in a team environment and supervise teams of EY and client personnel - Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, and data mining tools - Willingness to travel as needed and work in a hybrid environment Ideal Qualifications: - Familiarity or experience with IRS tax controversy and statistical sampling - Experience with current data analytics and visual tools, such as MS Power BI, MS Power Pivot, MS Power Query, and Alteryx - Previous experience at a Big 4 firm - Certifications in Alteryx or Microsoft products (MSCA) - Advanced degree, such as MST, MSA, JD, or LLM Salary and Benefits: - Salary range of $91,600 to $167,900 in most geographic locations in the US - Salary range of $109,900 to $190,800 in New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) - Individual salaries determined by factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography - Comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and various paid time off options - Flexible vacation policy and designated EY paid holidays, breaks, and leaves of absence for personal and family care About EY: EY is a global leader in assurance, consulting, law, strategy, tax, and transactions services, operating in over 150 countries.
