Responsibilities:

- Provide detailed review and analysis of complex partnership returns with a focus on real estate clients
- Mentor and coach employees as a Career Advisor, providing honest and timely performance feedback
- Train and develop staff members
- Communicate complex issues in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between clients and the service team
- Serve as the Tax client service coordinator for appropriate clients
- Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and mergers and acquisitions
- Review research findings and ensure compliance with firm policies and professional standards
- Assist with new business development and tax issue recognition for existing clients
- Manage corporate client needs for tax services and compliance
- Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law
- Other duties as assigned
- Some travel may be required

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in business taxation at a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Licensed JD
- Prior experience with real estate private equity clients and REIT's
- Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, with industry specialization a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with ASC 740's and international tax matters
