This is a full-time opportunity with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Summary: - Tax Supervisor position in the Financial Services/Capital Markets industry. - Responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex partnership and corporate tax returns for clients in the capital markets industry, including broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, investment banks, fintech, and proprietary trading and high-frequency trading firms. - Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, 4+ years of experience in business taxation, and be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD. - Prior experience serving capital markets clients is preferred. - Offers a competitive benefits and compensation package, including at least 14 paid holidays, wellbeing days, and flexible schedules. - RSM is an Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity employer, committed to providing equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities. - The compensation range for this position is $75,600 - $154,100. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze complex partnership and corporate tax returns for clients in the capital markets industry. - Communicate technical information in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between clients and the service team. - Interact directly with clients to handle questions, planning, concerns, etc. - Train and develop staff members. - Conduct research and provide conclusions on specific tax issues. - Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. - 4+ years of experience in business taxation. - Eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD. - Prior experience serving capital markets clients. - Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance. - Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions and collect necessary information. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or MBA. - Experience with ASC 740. - Experience preparing and reviewing accounting for income taxes. - Strong knowledge of tax law and compliance.
