A law firm seeks a dynamic and motivated Student Associate Attorney to join their team in Washington, . The candidate will play a crucial role in handling patent applications, collaborating with clients and firm attorneys, and contributing to the overall success of the firm. Job Details:

  • Meet with inventors and draft patent applications for filing in the USPTO.
  • Prosecute patent applications before the USPTO, including conducting interviews with Examiners.
  • Collaborate with clients and BoMc attorneys to develop and refine claim strategies.
  • Proactively manage a docket of cases across a diverse range of clients, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
  • Draft noninfringement and invalidity opinions.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations and perform freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses under the supervision of the firm’s partners.

Requirements:

  • Backgrounds of particular interest include electrical engineering, computer/software, mechanical engineering, chemistry/biochemistry, biology, physics, and IPR/litigation experience.
  • Positive attitude toward client service.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and professional service skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and work in a team environment.
  • Self-starter with a commitment to success and personal and professional growth.
  • Enjoy being involved in all aspects of a vibrant law firm team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
