Job Summary:

The Data Privacy Managing Counsel position at Sabre is a leadership role within the Legal organization, reporting to the Vice President and Associate General Counsel. The position is responsible for managing a team of six privacy attorneys and two privacy professionals in support of the Data Privacy Officer. The primary responsibilities include managing privacy programs and workflows, developing and coaching team members, conducting privacy risk assessments, and providing legal advice and guidance on global privacy laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a . degree and at least 5 years of leadership experience, as well as a strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations, particularly GDPR.

Experience Information:

- . degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- 5 or more years of relevant global work experience in privacy program management, legal, or compliance
- Prior experience in the application of . and global privacy laws in a commercial environment
- CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CPIM or other recognized privacy certification preferred
- GDPR experience in a global company

Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of six privacy attorneys and two privacy professionals
- Develop and coach team members on privacy legal matters and risk-based approaches
- Assist in work planning and matter management of privacy contract workstreams
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and impact assessments for new or updated products and services
- Stay updated on existing and emerging global privacy laws and regulations
- Advise in the development, implementation, and coordination of company policies and procedures related to privacy initiatives
- Assist with incident response and data breach management
- Prepare documents and materials related to privacy activities
- Coordinate with internal teams to implement privacy by design in product engineering
- Assist with due diligence and integration of newly acquired companies and divestitures
- Review, interpret, and negotiate data protection agreements with clients and vendors
- Provide guidance on privacy compliance for AI and AdTech
- Prepare data protection and data transfer agreement templates for internal usage
- Conduct privacy reviews of vendors and third-party risk management
- Strong understanding of data flows and ability to implement privacy design in SaaS products
- Provide leadership presence and gain the confidence of business clients
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem analysis and resolution skills

Skills and Qualifications:

- . degree and license to practice law
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations, particularly GDPR
- Experience in AdTech and AI privacy guidance
- Prior experience in commercial transactional law and contract negotiation for data protection agreements
- Familiarity with . and global privacy laws, marketing laws, breach notification laws, and ISO standards
- Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet business needs
- Experience with privacy by design and integrating compliance into product lifecycles
- Strong interest in AI and other internet technologies
- Practical and creative problem analysis and resolution skills
