Looking for a strategic and creative federal tax professional to join our Business Tax Services team at Deloitte? Look no further! We are seeking experienced tax consultants to provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to our large global and midsize clients across various industries. Join us and help clients optimize their tax functions and take strategy to the next level.

Responsibilities:

- Work with tax engagement teams to provide a variety of tax services relevant for public and private companies, including tax compliance, tax planning, tax controversy, and tax research.
- Perform detailed technical reviews of partnership, corporate, and individual federal tax returns and related work papers.
- Coordinate with clients' tax and finance departments on tax planning and compliance data gathering.
- Conduct detailed reviews of income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
- Research federal tax legislation to understand its impact on compliance and consulting.
- Assist with various tax consulting projects, including research and writing related to federal tax planning, restructuring, controversy, and accounting for income taxes.
- Manage engagement workflow and supervise tax consultants and interns on assigned projects.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in federal taxation.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Active accreditation such as CPA, JD, Enrolled Agent, CFA, or CFP.
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM (preferred).
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment (preferred).
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions.
- Previous experience in accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740 (preferred).
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Salary Information:

- The wage range for this role is $63,420 to $144,300, taking into account various factors such as skills, experience, and certifications.
- You may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules and factors such as individual and organizational performance.
