Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Corporate RWI Attorney to provide expert advice and guidance in Representations and Warranties Insurance (RWI) matters. Duties:

  • Advising internal corporate/M&A counsel on the selection and negotiation of RWI policies.
  • Staying informed about evolving practices and commercial trends within the RWI industry.
  • Maintaining and updating a comprehensive library of RWI policies and commercial terms.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years of corporate and mergers and acquisitions experience at a major law firm.
  • Significant experience with RWI products and concepts.
  • Experience as a broker or underwriter in the insurance industry is considered a valuable asset.
  • Demonstrated commercial judgment and the desire to become an industry-leading expert in advising insureds on RWI matters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with lawyers within the firm and industry participants, including brokers and underwriters.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple RWI matters simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in organizing and coordinating a high volume of underwriting calls, specialist consultations, and client requests in real time.
  • Competence in managing and organizing a database of policies, policy terms, and other information related to the practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction (Washington, DC).

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate and mergers and acquisitions law.
  • Expertise in Representations and Warranties Insurance (RWI) products and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
