Introduction:

PwC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Tax Manager to join our Financial Services Tax practice. This position will be responsible for providing tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry, both domestically and internationally, as well as managing a team of professionals to ensure successful execution of projects.

Job Description:

As an Insurance Tax Manager, you will work with a team of problem solvers to help clients navigate the complex national and international tax environment. You will be responsible for providing tax advice, managing working capital, and addressing the challenges of the continuously changing tax world. This role also involves helping clients understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing guidance on tax implications of deals.

Responsibilities:

- Provide tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry
- Manage working capital and profit sharing for partners
- Advise on local and overseas tax affairs
- Act as a strategic consultant for business analysis
- Help organisations understand pricing implications of goods and services between related parties
- Provide advice on tax implications of deals
- Help clients with tax structuring and address challenges of the changing tax world
- Manage a team of professionals to ensure successful execution of projects

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of experience in public accounting, internal domestic insurance tax departments, or internal foreign insurance departments
- CPA or Member of the Bar certification required
- Master's degree preferred
- Thorough knowledge of tax issues affecting the insurance industry
- Strong technical skills in tax provision preparation, audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and addressing client needs
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience supervising teams and providing feedback
- Familiarity with a CRM system preferred
