General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities

Under Executive direction, with broad scope for the exercise of independent initiative, judgment, and decision-making, The Queens County District Attorney’s Office is seeking an attorney to oversee its Case Tracking Management System. Will supervise the creation and analysis of data pertaining to the prosecution of crimes. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Developing expertise in the QDA Case Tracking Management System
Supervising analytical and programming staff in the development of quick ad-hoc reporting, creation of analytical data sets and providing methodological oversite for larger analytical projects
Communicating with management staff to determine the best indicators of efficacy
Supervising the development of reports, dashboards etc. for management staff to quickly identify changing patterns
Working closely with software application analysts and developers to ensure that necessary data is available for analytical purposes Collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders such at NYPD IT Bureau, OCA, MOCJ, NYC Dept of Info Technology and DOC
Advises the District Attorney, Chief Assistant District Attorney and Executive staff on an ongoing basis on the development and implementation of strategies in this area.

Qualification and Experience EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: JD Degree and member in good standing of the NY State Bar US Citizenship and NY State residency required as of first day of employment Prosecutorial and Management experience Ability to work independently and manage multiple long-term projects Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy Ability to interact and effectively communicate with all levels of staff, with a high regard for confidentiality Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines Work collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing needs and respond quickly to requests for information Candidates with knowledge and familiarity with data analysis are preferred
