They are currently seeking a Legal Specialist to support their Extended Care customer and Biomed segments, as well as other areas of their McKesson Medical-Surgical business. This role will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting customer agreements, as well as providing guidance on legal provisions within contracts and identifying potential legal and business issues. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience as a paralegal, with experience in commercial contracting and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position is open to candidates in Richmond, VA; Atlanta, GA; or Dallas, TX and requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Job Title: Legal Specialist - MMS Location: Richmond, VA; Atlanta, GA; or Dallas, TX Salary: $72,600 - $121,000 Experience: 4+ years as a paralegal, experience in commercial contracting preferred Position Description: - Review, negotiate, and draft customer agreements, including product supply agreements, rebate agreements, rental agreements, service agreements, technology agreements, and other contracts related to the medical-surgical business. - Consult on legal provisions within contracts, including identifying potential legal and business issues. - Actively participate in contract negotiations. - Provide guidance on contracting standards. - Identify and mitigate risks for McKesson. - Monitor compliance with internal processes and policies. - Assist with administrative activities, including tracking contract status and organization. - Work with attorneys to review and update templates and develop new templates. Minimum Requirements: - 4+ years of experience as a paralegal focusing on transactional work, in-house experience preferred. - Experience with commercial contracting required. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of Apttus, , Pramata, and DocuSign is a plus. - Prior healthcare regulatory experience, particularly knowledge and experience related to the federal Anti-Kickback Status, is a plus. - Prior project management experience is preferred but not required. Critical Skills: - Sound professional judgment, logic, and reasoning. - Attention to detail and penchant for accuracy, timeliness, and organization. - Superior problem-solving skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office 365®. - Highly responsive to internal and external stakeholders. - Efficient prioritization and management of multiple competing priorities. - A strong, proactive work ethic. - Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively with a team.
