As a Sr Associate in the National Tax Services Exempt Organizations department at PwC, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of tax-exempt organizations, including colleges and universities, healthcare entities, foundations, and cultural and religious organizations. You will play a vital role in helping these organizations navigate complex tax issues and develop successful tax strategies in response to legislative, federal, and judicial developments. Salary Information: The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Job Title: Sr Associate - National Tax Services Exempt Organizations Experience Information: Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for tax-exempt organizations, including not-for-profit healthcare, higher education, international clients, private foundations, public charities, for-profit corporate, partnerships, and individuals. Responsibilities: Research and analyze tax issues for various tax-exempt organizations, including healthcare entities, universities, foundations, and cultural and religious organizations. Provide tax consulting and compliance services to clients, including advising on obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status, identifying planning opportunities resulting from legislative and regulatory changes, and advising on executive compensation and employee benefits planning. Use statistical software packages to conduct tax-related economic and modeling services. Conduct statistical analyses and provide statistical consulting services for various industry sectors. Ensure quality, accuracy, and relevance of work, as well as that of others. Seek and embrace opportunities for exposure to different situations, environments, and perspectives. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. Research business and industry trends to develop a point of view to assist with proposals and identify opportunities across multiple lines of service. Utilize technology and automation to increase efficiency in delivering tax services. Participate in pricing and negotiation processes, including reviewing contracts and identifying opportunities for new pricing options. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation. Juris Doctorate degree preferred. CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar certification preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting for tax-exempt organizations. Knowledge of exempt organization tax issues, tax compliance and consulting, and various tax forms. Experience with statistical software packages, such as SAS. Strong technical skills in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations. Ability to research and analyze complex tax issues. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve unstructured problems. Excellent communication skills and ability to build quality relationships. Familiarity with automation and digitization in a professional services environment. Experience with pricing and negotiating contracts. Ability to uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. Understanding of equal opportunity and affirmative action laws and regulations.
