Job Overview:

This includes drafting and negotiating complex loan documentation, reviewing and negotiating bond, government, and other subsidy financing documents, and thoroughly examining due diligence materials.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate complex loan documentation for low-income housing and tax credit-based lending transactions.
  • Review and negotiate bond, government, and other subsidy financing documents.
  • Examine due diligence materials, including borrower partnership and operating agreements.
  • Manage and coordinate the interests of various parties involved in transactions.
  • Provide expertise in bond financing and state/federal historic tax credits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of substantive experience in low-income housing and/or tax credit-based lending transactions.
  • Solid understanding of the interests of various parties in such transactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong drafting skills with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong academic and professional credentials.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or ability to gain admission promptly.
