PubMatic, an independent technology company, is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial to join their legal team in Redwood City, CA. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage legal aspects of commercial negotiations and contract drafting, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements.
- Serve as a key legal advisor on commercial matters, providing strategic input and guidance on legal issues affecting the business.
- Translate complex legal concepts into plain language for stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding across the organization.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and product teams, to support business initiatives and provide legal insights.
- Develop and improve legal processes and templates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong contract/commercial experience, including an understanding of intellectual property issues, data licensing concepts, and ability to issue spot for business risks.
- Ability to negotiate positively and proactively (internally and externally) and close transactions efficiently.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and drafting skills.
- Strong work ethic with high level of productivity while still maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong personal integrity and a sense of humor.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Base Salary Range: $200,000 - $215,000 (may vary based on location, experience, and skills).
