Executive Director of Business Support Services

KPMG is currently seeking an experienced Executive Director to join our Office of General Counsel as an Associate General Counsel for Litigation. This position will provide legal support for the Litigation group, specifically on the Practice Protection Team. Responsibilities include:

- Providing counsel on civil litigation, third-party subpoenas, and regulatory investigations
- Representing KPMG and its professionals in legal proceedings and providing legal advice on related issues
- Developing and implementing strategies for successfully resolving litigation and investigations
- Collaborating with outside counsel and other members of the Office of General Counsel
- Reporting to and consulting with senior leaders for legal and regulatory matters
- Assisting in financial projections for ongoing matters

Qualifications:

- At least 18 years of experience in well-regarded law firms or in-house legal departments
- Experience defending complex civil litigation and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms or financial institutions is a plus
- Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the United States
- Experience with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and a client-service orientation

Salary Information:

- Salary range: $331,000 - $737,000 in California
