Job Summary:

MGAC, a leading construction consultancy, is seeking a General Counsel to provide legal guidance and mitigate risk for our growing firm. This full-time position requires a highly motivated individual with a JD degree and experience in corporate law, preferably in the construction industry. The successful candidate will have superior analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to lead and communicate effectively. This position is based in the United States or the United Kingdom.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide legal guidance to the CEO on all issues within the firm's business.
- Manage external legal counsel interactions and associated costs.
- Review and advise on draft client agreements.
- Mitigate risk with a strategic, forward-thinking approach.
- Review and draft standard forms of agreement for our four service offerings.
- Advise staff on protecting client and company interests in construction project issues.
- Work with HR and Finance to develop compliant policies and procedures and manage employment and expansion into new geographies.
- Be proactive and willing to challenge the status quo.
