Rochester office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks senior attorney with 5+ years of experience in a law firm working in estate planning, estate administration, real estate, or business/farm succession planning. The candidate will advise clients on effective strategies for farm and business succession, estate tax protection, and efficient estate administration. Will draft wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. Prepare succession planning reports, buy-sell agreements, and entity selection and formation. Develop long-lasting relationships with clients. Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks. Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome. Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients, and completing tasks. Must have experience in estate planning, succession planning, and real estate. Must have extensive knowledge of estate planning, business or farm law, and real estate. Should have significant previous experience in 2 of the practice areas: Discuss plans with clients for distributing clients' assets; Create wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for own clients; Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients; Confer with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process; Educate clients about options for retirement, donating to charity, and purchasing insurance; Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current; Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action. Experience working with support staff and paralegals is necessary. Working knowledge of title insurance, wills, trusts, property management, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation essential. Should have a four-year degree with a legal background and a . degree. Should have good attention to detail and organizing skills. Must have the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
