This is an open competitive opportunity for an entry level attorney to join the PSU, which is responsible for enforcing state laws and administrative rules for healthcare professionals regulated by the Division of Medical Quality Assurance. The PSU is looking to fill vacancies in their unit as they occur and remote assignments are available in investigative field office locations. This is a rolling requisition that will remain open for two months. Specific responsibilities for this position include reviewing case files, developing legal opinions, presenting cases before probable cause panels, drafting legal documents, and representing the Department in court. Qualifications for this position include a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and the ability to become a member of the Florida Bar within 12 months of appointment. The position is located at the Tallahassee headquarters or in remote investigative field office locations in Pensacola, Alachua, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Orlando.
