Environmental Associate - Mid-Level Job Opportunity at Law Firm

Arnold & Porter is looking for a mid-level associate to join our Environmental Practice Group at one of our US offices (Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, or Washington, DC). We are seeking qualified candidates with significant experience and expertise in environmental law, including regulatory counseling and litigation. This is a great opportunity for someone with a minimum of three years of prior work experience in environmental law to join a highly-regarded practice that regularly handles complex and high-stakes environmental matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in environmental law matters, including regulatory compliance and litigation
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, such as briefs, memoranda, and opinions
- Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Collaborate with a team of experienced environmental lawyers on complex and precedent-setting legal matters
- Stay up-to-date on environmental law developments and contribute to thought leadership through publications and presentations

Qualifications:

- Superb legal writing skills, with excellent academic credentials and references
- Active license to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying, or eligibility to become licensed
- Experience in the environmental field, whether in industry, government, or non-profit, is a plus

Salary Information:

The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $365,000, depending on experience.
