In this job, you will serve as a Senior Attorney for Children's Legal Services, a department within the Florida Department of Children and Families. You will work to advocate for the safety, well-being, and permanency of Florida's abused, abandoned, and neglected children. This is a highly important and impactful role, as you will be responsible for ensuring that legal requirements are met to secure permanent and safe homes for dependent children.

As a Senior Attorney, you will collaborate with investigators and case managers to gather evidence and prepare for legal action in each child's case. You will also work to train and coach new and experienced attorneys in best practice litigation techniques, ensuring that our pleadings and trial presentations lead the nation in dependency advocacy.

To qualify for this position, you must have a law degree and a minimum of 2 years of bar admission. However, training will be provided to help you excel in this role. You will participate in a multi-week onboarding program, quarterly intensive training on practical skills and litigation tactics, and an annual advanced litigation academy. Additionally, all continuing legal education requirements will be fulfilled through webinars and live trainings.
