Varnum Law Firm is seeking an experienced Energy/Natural Gas Attorney to join its Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Team. This position is open to any of the firm's Michigan offices. The successful candidate for this position will have comprehensive knowledge of the rules and regulations governing energy production and transmission/transportation, as well as experience with matters at the Michigan Public Service Commission, including utility rate making cases and dispute resolution. Although not required, experience with Power Purchase Agreements and other energy contracts involving renewable energy will be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have excellent academic credentials, the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and quality, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding customer/client service skills. Furthermore, admission to the Michigan bar is required.
