The candidate will handle a heavy and complex caseload from pre-litigation, litigation, trial preparation, and trial. Cases may include representing plaintiffs in slip and fall, security negligence, wrongful death, dog bite/animal attack, and other cases in and around North Florida. Responsible for the day-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation cases. Draft and file litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda of law. Guide plaintiff clients through the case process. Interact with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports, and affidavits. Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances. Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar Association. FL Bar admission is required.
